Wichita Falls Regional Airport ( IATA : SPS  , ICAO : KSPS , FAA LID : SPS ) is a public and military use airport located 5 nautical miles (9.3 km; 5.8 mi) north of the central business district of Wichita Falls , a city in Wichita County, Texas , United States.  The airport is joint use in that its runways and taxiways are shared with Sheppard Air Force Base . It is mostly used for military aviation due to the air force base located on site, but is also served by American Eagle with service to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport .
This airport is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a primary commercial service airport.  As per Federal Aviation Administration records, the airport had 47,191 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2008,  43,952 enplanements in 2009, and 44,296 in 2010.
